Requirements to Map Thruway Databases in GIS

The following table shows the fields and specific values that are required to be in a database if it is to be mapped using the Thruway Authority's geographic information systems (GIS) route system. The "route" field must be defined as character, with the abbreviations shown for values. The "from" and "to" fields must be numeric and, for roadways, official milepost values (with hundreds digit) are required. The acceptable range of milepost values for each roadway is shown in the "From Milepost" and "To Milepost" columns below.
