|US Army Corp of Engineers Historic Aerial Imagery||The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation obtained 9 inch by 9inch paper prints of panchromatic aerial photographs from the US Army Corps of Engineers for internal use and distribution to the general public. The photos cover portions of the shorelines of Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Niagara and St. Lawrence rivers. The photography was flown in 1978 and 1986 at a scale of 1:5000. DEC staff scanned the majority of the photos at 400 DPI. The remainder of the photos are planned to be scanned. The digital images were compressed to MrSID images with an average size of 5.3 MB. These images are available for download from the NYS GIS Clearinghouse ftp servers. The photos are not geo-referenced and the photo center locations are approximate.||
