1. Adirondack Park 1916 Fire Protection Areas

Depicts 1916 fire protection areas of the Adirondack Park, New York State. This resource may be used as an historical reference of land use/land cover in the Adirondack Park and major disturbances to the landscape. Such known and documented disturbances include a series of major forest fires that occurred at the turn of the 19th Century. Source scale is approximately 1:127,000. Projection is UTM zone 18, meters, NAD 83. Do not publish or redistribute this GIS data in whole or in part without written permission from the New York State Adirondack Park Agency.

Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map and State Land Master Plan Map (APLUDP/SLMP) pursuant to Sections 805 and 816 of the Adirondack Park Agency Act, Article 27 of the Executive Law. Polygon shapefile represents state and private land classifications and open water. Mapped at various scales from tax maps and 1:24000 scale base maps.See the NYS Adirondack Park Agency website (apa.state.ny.us) for more information about the Adirondack Park, land use regulation, state land use, and Adirondack GIS. Do not publish or redistribute these data in any digital form (including on-line mapping applications) or printed form without written permission from the New York State Adirondack Park Agency. These data should not be used for legal jurisdictional determinations. Boundaries between public and private lands in these data are approximate. Projection is UTM zone 18, meters, NAD 83. This download includes several DBF relate tables that can be used to access additional information. Use polygon attribute Area_ID to relate to table AreaRelate. Use fields in AreaRelate for chained relates to additional look up table DBF files.
